ICOM ZAMBIA, ICR, INTERCOM, NATHIST AND ICOM AFRICA are happy to announce an International Museum Conference in Livingstone, Zambia.

From 1st to 5th November 2024.

The theme of the conference is

Conference to be hosted by ICOM Zambia

 

 

 The Livingstone Museum is the host museum of the conference. Established in 1934. 

The Museum is located along Mosi-O-Tunya Road in the Central Business District of Livingstone

It is the largest and oldest museum in Zambia, with extensive collections in archaeology, history, ethnography and natural history. 
The exhibitions tell the story of the people of Zambia and their environment from the Stone Age to the present day, covering the country’s pre-history, history, natural history, culture. 
The Museum also has a special exhibition on the missionary and explorer, Dr. David Livingstone.
